GF Resources & Websites

Here are some of my favorite websites, resources, producers and support groups for those with celiac disease or gluten-intolerance. They are full of helpful information and recipes to make your gluten-free cooking stress-free and simple.

If there is anything I can help you with, please send me an email at theheritagecook (at)

Note: Some of these links do not direct to the correct page. I am fixing them, but you can always search for them yourself in the meantime. Sorry for the disruption.

Recommended GF Cookbooks and Reference Books

** If you are just getting started, I would suggest you start with these three books:

  • I especially like the explanations of ingredients and ways to adapt your own recipes in Beth Hilson’s Gluten-Free Makeovers.
  • Michael Natkin’s Herbivoracious will have you rethinking vegetarian cooking and contains a large number of gluten-free recipes. Once you understand how to convert standard recipes, you can make anything in the book gluten-free!
  • Carol Fenster’s 1000 Gluten-Free Recipes will give you a myriad of options, helping you understand how well you can eat on a gluten-free diet and redirecting your focus to what you CAN have instead of what you cannot.
