- The freedoms we have living in this great nation
- A family who constantly thrills and amazes me
- The support of loved ones in trying times
- The stunning beauty of the Pacific Ocean, Yosemite Valley, and Lake Tahoe – all close by
- The courage to start my food blog and all those who find it interesting enough to visit regularly
- The skills I learned from my mother and grandmother, which help me create wonderful delights in the kitchen
- New friends I have met on Facebook – what an amazing, varied, and wonderful group
- The artwork my husband creates that enriches our lives, delights us, and decorates our home
- The technology that allows me to keep in touch with people all over the world
- The education I received that helps me every single day
