This week’s Chocolate Monday recipe is perfect for parties since you can make it ahead and assemble just before serving, giving you more time with your guests. At a child’s birthday party the kids could decorate their own portions. They will love making a mess with the toppings! This has several components but you can take a short cut and buy part of them pre-made, which makes this really easy to make. Sweet, sticky, gooey, creamy, crunchy, luscious … what more could you ask for?
Add to your shopping list:
6 oz semisweet chocolate
6 oz unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 cup all-purpose flour
4 large eggs
2 sticks (1/2 cup) unsalted butter
1-1/4 to 1-1/2 cups heavy cream
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
3 cups granulated sugar
3⁄4 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 tbsp powdered instant espresso coffee
3 tbsp Kahlua (or other coffee liqueur) or strong coffee
1-1/2 cups coarsely chopped pecans
Baking Powder
Salt
Vanilla Extract
Cinnamon
What could you use these ingredients to make? Come to www.theheritagecook.com on Monday to find out!
